What is alternative medicine

Alternative medicine is any medical practice that takes place, or is incompatible, the traditional Western medicine. The difference between alternative medicine and complementary medicine. Complementary medicine can cause a non-traditional medical practice, but is carried out in conjunction with traditional approaches to healing. Alternative medicine means using only the non-traditional methods.

Alternative medicine includes a wide range of practices. Certain healing therapies based on ancient Chinese beliefs, such as acupuncture and the use of certain herbal compounds. Others focus on Hindus or ayurvedic treatments, including diet changes, yoga, and emphasizes the connection of mind, body and spirit.
